  • distribute the w to the terms inside the parenthesis
  • add 4w to both sides to isloate the term with the z
  • and subtract mz to both sides to transfer the mz (since it has a z too)

= z(w-m)=17+4w

the 2 terms in the left side has their gcf which is z so we factor it

= z=(17+4w)/(-m+w)
